Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

MATERIA is a clinical decision-support platform for high-risk perinatal care, providing protocols, algorithms, and evidence-based recommendations. It is intended for licensed healthcare professionals and does not replace individualized clinical assessment.

2. Data we collect

• Account: name, email, password (hashed), professional role.
• Usage: protocols viewed, favourites, notification preferences.
• Technical: IP address, device type, session id, error logs.
• Payment: processed entirely by Stripe — we do not store card data.

3. How we use it

• Authenticate and personalise clinical content.
• Notify you of protocol updates relevant to your profile.
• Detect abuse and protect the service.
• Run billing and subscription management.

4. Patient data

The app does not store identifiable patient data on our servers. Calculators process data locally on device and do not send it back.

5. Sharing

We share data only with: Clerk (auth), Stripe (payments), infrastructure providers (under DPA), and authorities under valid legal order.

6. Retention

Account data: while active, plus 12 months. Technical logs: up to 90 days. Payment data: 5 years (tax law).

7. Your rights (LGPD / GDPR)

Access, correction, anonymisation, portability, deletion, withdrawal of consent, objection. Request at privacy@materiaguia.com. We respond within 15 days.

8. Security

Encrypted transport (TLS), bcrypt-hashed passwords, role-based access control, audit logs.

9. Children

The service is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect children's data.

10. Changes

Material changes will be notified by email and in-app 30 days in advance.
